This challenge helps to raise interest and awareness in design and technology and ties in well to Key Stage 2 and 3 National Curriculum elements of Design and Technology, Science and the PSHCE. Participating pupils should not span more than two year groups in age.
The children work in pairs, and the teams considered by the teacher and visiting STEM facilitator to have worked well together, created the best plans and developed the most effective model will be declared the winners. The winning team will receive a small prize.
This workshop is offered as a one off enhancement activity, and will also be run as a countywide interschool
