The LEGO Robotic Workshop, involves up to 16 students, working in pairs to design and execute a robotic programme, using LEGO’s advanced technology MINDSTORMS EV3 sets. Supporting the computer science curriculum, the equipment uses intuitive, simple icon-based programming language and tools that encourage design solutions using algorithmic problem solving.
Our facilitator brings all equipment; all the school has to provide is a classroom with nine electricity access points and online capability. Students work in pairs and the team achieving the most will be declared the winners. All participants receive certificates and the winning pair will receive a small prize.
This activity is suitable for capable year 6 children, and all secondary students.
This workshop is offered as a one off enhancement activity, and will also be run as a countywide interschool challenge during the 2024-25 academic year. For further details please call 07887 535176 or email info@mebp.org
